Department

A very important part of the operations of the City resides with the Finance Department which is part of City Administration. The Finance Department is charged with the responsibility of: Safeguarding financial assets, maintenance of City financial records, budget preparation and monitoring, internal and external financial reporting, maintaining relations with financial iInstitutions, payment of vendor claims, payment of city employees, reporting financial information to regulatory agencies, coordination of the annual audit with our certified public accountants and maintaining records of billings and payments for utility services provided to commercial establishments and citizens of the City and surrounding areas.
Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, Leon H. Flinders, the department is divided into several different areas of operation each covered by a professional staff. They include:
Claude Fratto - Accounting Specialist who is the assistant to the CFO and responsible for maintaining general ledger account analysis, grant monitoring, account reconciliation, insurance monitoring and other duties.
Keri Hillstead - Accounting Technician who is responsible for accounts payable and other duties.
Heather Sherman - Accounting Technician who is responsible for utilities among other duties.
Rae Lynn Gregory - Accounting Technician who is the lead receptionist and responsible for cash receipting as well as payroll and notary services among other duties.
