Scobie
Park Facilities

The
Robert F. Scobie Park was founded in the mid 1980's as the first park
for the community of West Wendover, Nevada. It is a memorial
to Mr. Robert F. Scobie a long-time resident and patriarch of the
communit who, since the 1940's, provided guidance, support and leadership
to the community and its residents as well as preserving many of the
important memories of our community. The park is a focal point
for residents and visitors to the community alike. The park
provides a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere with grass, mature trees,
pavilions and barbeque areas for individuals, family and community
gatherings. The park is a hot spot during
the annual Cinco de Mayo celebration (the first Sunday in May) and
the annual July 4th Celebration. Scobie Park, as it is affectionately
called, is nestled between the West Wendover Welcome Center on the
north, the West Wendover Police Station on its south along with Wendover
Boulevard and Florence Way providing access.
