As part of the Storm Drain Improvement Project Phase 1 taking place at the corner of Pueblo Boulevard/ Tibbets Boulevard, the power to the Pueblo Boulevard street lights from Alpine Street west to the Toana Vista Golf Club House will be out for up to two days (December 5th through the 7th) in order to facilitate working around the related electrical power for the street lights.
Having the street lighting system in that area de-energized is the safest possible condition for the work taking place avoiding any undue risk to the workers or the operation of the system.
The storm drainage improvement is being completed by Remington Construction out of Elko, Nevada who was awarded the Storm Drainage Improvement Project Phase 1, by the City in late October. The project which also includes some upgrades to the storm drainage system on Sandia Circle should be completed by the end of January.
The City asks everyone to exercise great caution while in this area when driving, walking or biking due to the type of work taking place.
