At the Regular City Council Meeting of December 6^th, Mayor Corona along with City Council Members presented former Mayor Emily Carter with a commemorative service plaque to show the City’s appreciate for her many years of service. 

Emily was first appointed to the position of City Council Member in early 2006 filling a then vacant position.  She was then elected that same year to the same seat and subsequently re-elected in 2010.  Emily then ran for Mayor in 2012 to which she was elected.  

Emily ultimately served 16 years as an Elected Official of the City as Mayor Corona said, “Emily Carter has been a dedicated public servant…throughout her years of service Emily has dedicated herself to serving the people of West Wendover.  In recognition of her service and on behalf of the City of West Wendover it is my pleasure to present her this plaque commemorating her years of service to the community.”

Congratulations Emily and thank you for dedicating yourself to serving the people through so many years and doing all you could as an Elected Official to move our community forward.  We know you believe in this great City and we wish you the best!
