Council Member Hanson Receives Service Plaque
At the Regular City Council Meeting of November 20th, Council Member John Hanson was presented a service plaque and thank you from Mayor Daniel Corona. Council Member Hanson was not re-elected in the 2018 Council race, thus bringing to a close his four year term which began with his election in 2014.
In presenting the plaque Mayor Corona thanked Council Member Hanson for his strong and unwavering commitment to the community through the years and for being a fixture of city government not just as a Council Member but as a citizen participant for many years attending meetings and being a part of the city's progress. Council Member Hanson congratulated all those who were elected and addressed the public in hopes that they would understand how much easier it is to view things from the public seats in the audience versus being up on the dais trying to make the best of decisions for the community. "I'll not be far away, Council Member Hanson said, "rest assured I will continue to be a participant from the audience and will be doing all I can to keep us moving forward as a community".
Thanks for your service John, we will miss you but know you won't be far away.
