City Provides Service Awards to City Employees
The City of West Wendover provided Years of Service Awards to city employees over the past two weeks to give recognition for the recipient’s commitment to the organization and to the community that they serve. The awards are provided based on employment longevity with the city beginning at 5 years of service and every 5 years thereafter. In addition to a nice plaque the employees were provided service pins which are designed with the city seal and reflect the employee’s service with a star for every five years they serve. And, the employees also received a $25 Smith’s Food Store Gift Card as part of the award.
City Manager Chris Melville said, “It was a great pleasure to personally award and thank our recipients because receiving such an award signifies the employees commitment not just to the city but to the people of our community and just as importantly to themselves. Often our commitment at work can relate directly with our commitments in our personal lives and vice versa so when we have employees that make it their mission to work hard to do the best job they can day in and day out over many years and reach these kinds of goals, that says something not just about our organization which is like a family, it says something just as important about us as individuals”.
Congratulations to all our employees and thank you for your commitment to the City of West Wendover!
