New Officers Antonio Escareno and Rae Hartsell Take Oath of Office
At the Regular City Council Meeting of July 2, 2019, Judge Brian E. Boatman conducted a swearing-in ceremony for two West Wendover police officers.
Officer Antonio Escareno has worked for the West Wendover Police Department for over one year. He completed his field training and then attended the Nevada Peace Officer Standards and Training Academy. His successful completion of this state training/certification was the last step of his training process. He is currently assigned to patrol.
Officer Rae Hartsell became a member of the West Wendover Police Department earlier this year. She has previous law enforcement experience within Elko County and had already completed the Nevada Peace Officer certification. Officer Hartsell has successfully completed her field training with the West Wendover Police Department and is currently on patrol.
West Wendover Chief of Police Cal Kunz had the opportunity to attend the ceremony and said, "It is exciting to see these two great officers officially become members of our Police Department. Antonio has a strong love for our community and a willingness to serve. Rae brings law enforcement experience to our city as well as an ability to quickly build positive relationships with those she comes in contact with. I believe both of these officers will contribute greatly to our Police Department and our community."
Congratulations Officers Escareno and Hartsell!
