New Police Officers & New Police Sergeant

Officer Alejandro Sanchez was 5 years old when his family moved to Wendover Utah. Ofc.Sanchez graduated from the Wendover Utah high school prior to starting work with Utah Department of Transportation. Ofc.Sanchez soon began to have an interest in law enforcement. Ofc.Sanchez began his law enforcement career with the city of West Wendover in A. Sanchez, C.Love-Group-Final

April of 2015. After completing a 14 week field training program Ofc.Sanchez attended a 14 week Nevada Police Officers Standards and Training (NvPOST) program in Carson City Nevada where he graduated in November 19, 2015. Ofc.Sanchez said "I am happy to serve my hometown and am proud to be a part f it. I have received a lot of support from the community and I am willing to give back in any way possible. There is still a lot to learn but I am more than willing and am up for the challenge".

Officer Cutter Love is a life long Wendover resident. Ofc.Love graduated from the West Wendover High School in 2011. Ofc.Love worked with the local fire departments and participated in various ride along programs prior to beginning his law enforcement career. Ofc.Love was hired as an officer in April of 2015. He completed a 14 week field training program prior to beng sent to NvPOST for another 14 weeks of training. Ofc.Love graduated from NvPOST on November 19, 2015. Ofc.Love said "I am proud to serve the community that I grew up in".

Sergeant Petro grew up in Hawk Run Pennsylvania. Sgt.Petro graduated from West Branch Area High School in 1996. After high school Sgt.Petro attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she graduated with a bachelor of art C. Petro-Group-Final

degree in criminology, class of 2000. Sgt.Petro moved to Nevada to begin her law enforcement career in 2002 with the West Wendover Police Department. Sgt.Petro was promoted to the rank of sergeant in November 2015. Sgt.Petro said "I really enjoy working for the citizens of West Wendover and hope to do so for many years to come".
