At the Regular City Council Meeting of January 3, 2023, Deeanna Croasmun representing the Wendover Prevention Group presented two Wendover Youth Recognition Awards for the 4th Quarter 2022.

Vadania Keller, 9^th Grade at West Wendover High School.  Vadania was provided the award for her willingness to help out with the Youth Coalition, including attending meetings regularly and volunteering for every project brought forward.  She does a great job of getting her friends to participate in wholesome activities as well.

Eva Walston, 8^th Grade at West Wendover Middle School.  Eva was provided the award for showing resilience and strength through adversity.  She is a strong supportive influence on her father and her friends.  She spends her time after school serving the community and finding ways to help the youth of the community stay drug and alcohol free.

Congratulations to both recipients!

Youth ages 10 to 18 are eligible for consideration of the Youth Recognition Award.  Nominations can be for acts of kindness, service, academic achievement, reaching goals or other areas a youth may have excelled and stood out in.

The next Youth Recognition Awards will be presented in April, for 1^st Quarter 2023.
