Representatives of West Wendover including Mayor Jasie Holm and West Wendover Recreation District Board Chairperson Lysette Perez have over the past several months with the assistance of Jeff Remington, one of our beloved UPS drivers, been in discussions with Rusty Bahr the CEO of the Elko Boys & Girls Club about the possibility of a Boys & Girls Club facility being located in our community. As Mayor Holm said, "This is a great opportunity to explore the possibilities of a facility that would add additional youth programs through the Boys & Girls Club which would accentuate the programs which the Recreation District currently provides. It's an opportunity for our future and one that we need the community's input on."
The City of West Wendover is planning for a presentation on the possible project by Rusty Bahr CEO of the Elko Boys & Girls Club for the June 4th City Council Meeting.
