West Wendover Public Works Employees Receive New Uniforms

Post Date:07/29/2024 11:03 AM

The West WendPublic Works new Outfitover Public Works Department began sporting new uniforms this past week.  After careful consideration, Raul Naranjo Public Works Director chose a new design and style that prioritizes safety. The high visibility yellow stripes on the grey background ensure high visibility and safety for all both during the day and for night operations when the stripes are highly reflective to any light source.

Each employee receives 11 uniforms (11 shirts and 11 pants) to make things the most convenient for the team member.  The uniform vendor picks up the dirty uniforms each week and returns them the following week, laundered and pressed. This service ensures that our employees always have a week's worth of clean uniforms on hand, allowing them to focus on their important work.

The uniforms have the employee's name sewn on the shirt, as well as the West Wendover Public Works patch.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind the community of the important role it plays in helping to maintain safety.  Please take precautions while driving in any area where you see our Public Works crews doing their work.  Being vigilant and adhering to the safety measures in place is greatly appreciated.
