At the City Council Meeting of September 17th, Antonio Escareno took his oath of office from Judge Kenneth Quirk as a new West Wendover Police Sergeant.
Officer Escareno, home grown in our community, began his career in law enforcement with West Wendover in December of 2017 as a Police Officer. From the start he has worked hard and excelled in his work serving the public. In the fall of 2023, he was selected as a new K-9 handler and received his companion Chase, a Yellow Labrador Retriever. Together he and Chase have worked diligently to protect and root out the very real harm caused by illicit drugs coming into or through our community.
Officer Escareno was chosen among other great candidates through the Department’s Sergeants exam process. Congratulations Sergeant Escareno on your promotion. Keep up the great work and commitment you have made to your community.
