Post Date:03/20/2025 8:38 AM

bestfriendsplaque3copyOn Tuesday March 18, 2025, West Wendover Mayor Jasie Holm presented Michael Ditullio of Best Friends Animal Society of Utah with an appreciation plaque on behalf of the City of West Wendover.

Best Friends Animal Society has been working with West Wendover Animal Control and Wendover Pet Connection for the last few years to rescue animal in our community.   During the intake process with West Wendover Animal Control, the animal’s information is shared with Best Friends Animal Society who then assists in the planning and preparations to adopt and transport the beloved animals to new homes; they truly go above and beyond in assisting with animal care in our community.

Just some recent examples how much pride Best Friends Animal Society takes in their assistance to West Wendover:  A recent situation where they had as many as ten dogs and six cats all in one transport; they have also sent out their own volunteers to transport priority animals to Salt Lake City and have generously provided equipment which assists in making it easier to care for animals when they are being transported.

Thank you Best Friends Animal Society of Utah for your great partnership!
