This week City Manager Chris Melville provided Police Department Administrative Assistant Kim Morley with her 10-year service award.
Kim began her service with the City of West Wendover in 2015 initially as the Court Office Manager before transferring in 2016 to the Police Department as an Administrative Clerk. In 2024 Kim received a promotion to Police Department Administrative Assistant, the position she holds today.
“Kim is a very valuable employee to the Police Department and to the City on whole”, said City Manager Melville. “She takes great pride in her work, is organized and thorough, has a great ability to interact with the public and she takes her role as part of our community’s public safety workforce very seriously. Additionally, I have had the great fortune to know Kim most of her life and she has always been thoughtful, firm when needed of course, but a real pleasure to be around and interact with and always wearing a smile. She is the kind of person that passes on hope, meaning anything is possible, to those around her without even knowing it. I hope she continues on her path of service to the City and the community for many more years to come.”
In addition to her service plaque, Kim also received a service pin designed with the City Seal. The pins reflect the employee's years of service with a star for every five years they have served. As well, she received a $50 Smith's Food Store Gift Card.
Congratulations Kim!
