Post Date:07/23/2025 3:55 PM

DSC09049At 7pm on July 22nd the West Wendover Project Committee officially unveiled the Wolverine Mural which was painted on the water land tank near 3-Mile Mountain overlooking the community.  The committee spent over two years planning out the mural and despite setbacks, they brought it to reality.

The project was led by several individuals who demonstrated Wolverine persistence with a bite that would not let go.  Mayor Jasie Holm, Lysette Perez and Alyssa Laboto.   Additionally, the project would not have been possible without the generosity and contributions of many partners including:  City of West Wendover, City of Wendover, West Wendover High School, Nevada Gold Mines, the City of West Wendover Community Support and Local Grants Program, Peppermill Inc., the West Wendover 1% Advisory Committee, the West Wendover Recreation District, The High Desert Advocate, The Wendover Times and A.V. Painting, Inc.

Mayor Holm said, “Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, resources, and enthusiasm to make this project come to life for our city. It reflects the rich history and bright future for West Wendover, inspiring both residents and visitors alike. It was my pleasure working on this project with Lysette and Alyssa, we had a wonderful time.  Also special thanks to Annette Murphy, Chris Melville, Alina Ceballos and Raul Naranjo for your extra work in helping it come together.”

Congratulations Jasie, Lysette and Alyssa, job well done!
