Post Date:03/23/2026 10:13 AM

Quilt Ladies 1On March 17th at the West Wendover City Council the Bordertown Quilts presented Fire Chief Jeff Knudtson with handmade quilts for use in the dorm rooms at the new fire station.  The new fire station was built with dorm rooms that will be used for overnight or extended shifts.  The quilts are handmade featuring a variety of patterns and colors which took the group several months to make them.  This project was a way for the group to give back to those who serve their community.

The Bordertown Quilts are longtime friends and residents of Wendover and West Wendover who meet twice a week to sew and quilt.  The group consists of Kathy Richey, Sandy Haney, Rita Bills, Judy Bartlome, Sharon Spillman, Gerry Garcia, Kerrie Supanich, Donna Glover, Linda Sharp, Brenda Santillanez and Glenda Lacy.
