This week City Manager Chris Melville presented service awards to Fire Chief Gary Corona for 25 years of service, Accounting Specialist Keri Hillstead for 20 years of service, Public Works Supervisor Dusty LaBrie for 10 years of service, and Police Dispatcher Meghan McMinn for 5 years of service.

Gary Corona began his employment with the City on July 16, 2001 as Fire Captain. Throughout his career, Gary has been a dedicated leader in the Fire Department, earning the respect of both his fellow firefighters and the community he serves. On April 7, 2026, Gary was promoted to Fire Chief, the position he proudly holds today. His commitment to protecting the community and his professionalism have made him someone residents know they can depend on.

Keri Hillstead began her employment with the City on July 3, 2006 as an Accounting Technician. On August 4, 2008, she was promoted to Accounting Specialist, the position she continues to hold today. Throughout her years of service, Keri has become an invaluable member of the City team, known for her knowledge, willingness to help others, and dedication to ensuring the City's financial operations run smoothly.

Dusty LaBrie began his employment with the City on July 25, 2016 as a Janitor. On May 1, 2017, he transferred to the Public Works Department as a Public Works Technician I. His strong work ethic and dedication led to his promotion to Public Works Technician II on September 14, 2020. Recognizing his leadership and commitment, the City later promoted him to Public Works Supervisor, the position he holds today. Dusty plays an important role in maintaining the City's infrastructure and public facilities.

Meghan McMinn began her employment with the City on July 8, 2021 as a Police Dispatcher, the position she continues to hold today. As one of the first points of contact during emergencies, Meghan provides vital support to police officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and the public. She is an essential part of the City's public safety team.

In addition to their service plaques, Gary, Keri, Dusty, and Meghan also received service pins featuring the City Seal. The pins recognize each employee's years of service with a star representing every five years of employment. They also each received a $50 Smith's Food Store Gift Card.
