At a Special Elko County Commission Meeting held in the West Wendover Council Chambers at City Hall on June 15, 2016, the Commission by Resolution awarded recognition plaques to the City of West Wendover and the City of Wendover for their efforts in regards to the Two Cities One Community program to bring awareness to underage drinking.

The Commission commented on how it was a show of outstanding cooperation between two entities in two different states along with many other organizations  as part of the Parents Empowered Program to bring this important issue for our youth and our communities to the forefront.

Mayor Emily Carter of West Wendover and Mayor Mike Crawford of Wendover gratefully accepted the plaques on behalf of the community.
